Father Almighty, we give You all the glory, honour and adoration, please, accept our worship in Jesus’ name. Thank You that thus far You have helped us, kept us and preserved us and we thank You because we know whatever You have done before, You will do again, please, accept our worship in Jesus’ name. Lord God Almighty, we are asking that this morning, You will send help to all of us that every one of us in need of help one way or the other, You will send help to us urgently. We are praying Lord God Almighty for Your children all over the world today, please, send help to us and we pray that very soon we will all be singing, dancing and praising Your Holy name when all these problems are over in Jesus’ name, thank You Almighty God, in Jesus’ mighty name we have prayed.
THE MESSAGE
TEXT - EXODUS 14:13-18
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
From today onward, your victory will be permanent.
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
14 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
SEVEN WAYS OF DEALING WITH A MOUNTAIN.
1.TURN BACK.
The first thing you do when you come across a mountain; an obstacle that is blocking your way, a problem you are not expecting or a crisis like the present one is to turn back.
Numbers 14:1-4, The children of Israel were on their way to the promised land, Moses sent spies to the land, they wanted to turn back because of giants in the land.
The problem that will send you back to Egypt; the problem that will take you from Jesus Christ will never cross your path.
2. GO ROUND THE MOUNTAIN.
Go round the mountain and find a way at the end of the road.
The problem with going round the mountain is that you don't know how far it stretches, you may never be able to go round it all. Numbers 32:13, the children of Israel try to go round the mountain for forty years.
3 CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN.
Exodus 17:8-13, when the Amalekites suddenly blocked the way of the Israelites to the promised land, Moses climbed a hill and took Aaron and Hur with him and from the hilltop they controlled the battle.
4. YOU CAN BORE A HOLE.
You can dig a tunnel through a mountain like the example in the text, Exodus 14:21-28, when Moses lifted his hands against the red sea, the red sea parted, the children of Israel passed through and arrived on the other side and the red sea came together again.
When you bore a hole through a hill or a mountain, the mountain remains but you are on the other side of it.
Coronavirus is not going to disappear completely, just like cholera, flu, and Ebola, it will subside.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ it will subside soon but that it will leave the world completely, that will take a special miracle of God. The good news is that those of you listening to me now, by the time we finish today, you will know that you will come out at the other end of the mountain, when you come out I hope you will not forget to sing praises to the Lord.
5. YOU CAN DYNAMITE THE MOUNTAIN.
You can blow the mountain with explosives. Joshua 6:1-20, the wall of Jericho blocked the way of the children of Israel to the promised land. Joshua 6:20 A shout of Hallelujah breaks the wall of Jericho.
6. YOU CAN TURN THE MOUNTAIN TO A HABITATION.
You can sit on the mountain or build a house on it.
2 Kings 4:18-37, when the Shunammite woman needed a miracle urgently, she had to go to Elisha and she found him on Mount Carmel.
7. CLIMB OVER THE MOUNTAIN.
Isaiah 40:31, But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they will fly like an eagle over the mountain. That's the greatest option of all.
There are quite a lot of good things that will come out of this lockdown.
Many people will be grateful to God for the lockdown.
MOUNTAINS YOU MUST BORE YOUR WAY THROUGH.
Certain situations that you can't dodge but must pass through. The Almighty God says in Isaiah 43:2, when you pass through the water, I will be with you. When you pass through the river, it will not overflow you. When you pass through the fire, it won't burn you. He didn't say the river will dry. He didn't say the fire will be quenched.
God didn't put out the fiery furnace for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, they went into the fire and came out alive. I’m not just talking about coronavirus but about some situations in your life that you just have to bore your way through the mountain.
HOW TO BORE YOUR WAY THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN.
1.YOU MUST TRUST GOD.
Trust God the Father, the maker of heaven and earth, He told the children of Israel to move forward. Trust the One who was before the mountains were brought forth. Psalm 90:2.
Trust God, knowing fully well that nothing happens without God knowing it; nothing takes God by surprise. There's no problem you are facing now that is a surprise to God.
He knows the end from the beginning. Trust God the Father.
TRUST GOD THE SON.
God told Moses to tell the children of Israel to move forward.
John 14:6 I’m the Way; He is the way where there’s no way.
He will make a way in the wilderness and red sea.
The Almighty God knows how to make a way on a road that you didn't know existed.
He knows how to make a way and He will make a way for somebody today.
TRUST GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT.
After Moses lifted his hands against the red sea , the Bible said, an east wind blew the way through the red sea.
Acts 2:1-4, The Holy Spirit comes in as a mighty rushing wind.
The wind is going to blow for you and it will create a path where there is no path before.
Trust Him that you will come out safe and sound after all the problem is over.
2. REMEMBER GOD’S MERCY AND FAITHFULNESS.
Lamentation 3:22-23, it is of the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed; it's because He's merciful that is why you are still alive today, His mercy is new every morning and great is His faithfulness. He brought you this far, He's not going to disappoint now. He is not going to abandon you now.
Remember His mercy; it’s by His grace that we are saved at all, it's by His grace that we are still alive. Every night you sleep, the enemy does not want you to wake up the following day. When you become completely helpless at night, there is someone who neither sleeps nor slumber, watching over you in mercy and not because you deserve it but out of mercy.
When Bartimaeus was crying for help, he said Jesus Christ son of David have mercy on me; I don't deserve a miracle but out of mercy, the Bible says God is rich in mercy. Remember His mercy and faithfulness because 1 Samuel 17:34-37, what gave David the assurance is the faithfulness of God when he killed Lion and Bear.
I want you to throw back your mind
Has God helped you before?
Have you been through some challenging situations before?
The problem and challenges may be new but God remains the same.
Malachi 3:6 i am the Lord i changed not.
Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever.
If He has healed you before, He will heal you again.
If He had delivered you before, He will deliver you again.
If He has seen you through before, He will see you though again
TRUST GOD, REMEMBER HIS MERCY AND FAITHFULNESS.
BELIEVE NOT ONLY GOD, BELIEVE HIS PROPHET.
2 Chronicles 20:20, Believe God and you shall be established, believe His prophet and you will prosper. The children of Israel didn't hear from God, they only heard from Moses, and Moses said unto them, fear not, be still and see the salvation of God that he will perform for you today, the enemies you have seen before, you won't see them again.
I told you at the beginning of the year that this year will behave like a child in convulsion.
I told you particularly my children that you are going to pass through without a problem.
Those of you my children will pass through the sea without a touch of water on you.
When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of fire, the smell of fire was not upon them. I want you to believe me because my Father does not lie.
You will come out of this problem safe and sound.
3. YOU MUST TAKE THE STEP OF FAITH.
I want you to put yourself in the position of the children of Israel.
It took an act of faith on the path of the children of Israel to walk in the red sea.
It is written in four places in the scripture, the just shall live by faith.
Habakkuk 2:4, Roman 1:17, Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 10:38.
Relax, live by faith, God can’t fail you.
God the Father is on His throne.
God the son is sitting by his right side watching you.
The dispensation of the Holy Spirit is in charge right now.
Remember His mercy, faithfulness, believe God and His prophet, then move forward.
1 Peter 5:7, cast your cares upon Him for He cares for you.
Whatever problem you are facing, roll it unto the Almighty GOD.
Once you cast your burden upon Him leave it there.
He is more than enough to handle whatever may be your problem.
Once you pray, leave the rest to God, He will answer your prayer.
Isaiah prophesied about the Lord Jesus Christ that a virgin shall conceive and it came to pass.
PRAYER FOR SALVATION.
Isaiah 3:11, Say to the righteous, it shall be well with Him, if you don't believe me, believe Isaiah that you tomorrow will be alright.
If you are not born again, Isaiah 3:11, woe to the wicked for it shall be ill with him.
If you want to pass through whatever challenges you are facing, crossover to Jesus Christ, He's the One who makes a way where there's no way.
What are you gaining from sin?
Come over to the side of the One who can see you through.
Very soon, you will be singing and praising the Almighty God for victory.
If you want to surrender to Jesus, bow your head and cry unto Him:
I’m surrendering my life to you.
Please, have mercy on me.
I will serve You for the rest of my life.
I’m saying bye bye to a life of sin, I want to live as a righteous person.
I know You are the way, not only through my problems but the way to heaven.
Please, save my soul today and I will serve You forever.
PLEASE, LET’S PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE:
Pray that the One who said nobody can come to the Father, except by me will receive them now.
That He will have mercy on them, save their souls and give them a brand new beginning.
Saviour, we want to give You all the glory and honour, we want to thank You for Your word and for everything You have done for us in the past, because You are the same yesterday, today and forever, and whatever You have done before, we know You will do it again.
We want to thank You for these people who are surrendering their lives to You now, please, remember Your promise that whosoever will come unto You, You will no wise cast out, please, receive them, have mercy on them, save their souls Lord, write their names in the book of life and please and make a way for them where there is no way.
Lord God Almighty, i'm committing all Your children here into Your hands and those listening to me all over the world, please see us through.
Help us to bore a way through every mountain in our path.
Very soon, Lord God Almighty, let us be on the other side of the mountain shouting and praising You.
Lord God Almighty, if anyone is in any form of sickness, disease, ache or pain, right now lay Your mighty hands on the fellow.
Let Your healing power flow to them and make them completely whole.
If there is anyone faced with a mountain of sorrow, great Comforter, please, comfort them.
Let them know that tomorrow will be alright.
