Father in heaven we thank You for bringing us together again today, Lord Almighty, in our various churches and homes we worship Your name for the things You have done during this programme and with this programme in the past and we want to say thank You; thank You because You are the Deep God and the Deep calleth unto the Deep, thank You for teaching us and unfolding to us the mysteries of Your word. Lord, we are here again, Jehovah God, sitting around Your table to eat from the manna from above and Lord there is no shortage in Your dinning, kitchen and store house. We ask that this day You will feed everyone to the brim and that today’s lesson will be a live lesson. I pray You will use my mouth; when You are using it my ears and life will carry some of the blessings. I surrender everything to You, I don’t know anything because I'm commissioned by my leader and father to be here, I know His prayer is always with us, thank You. Father Lord tonight, open us up with Your word and i pray that Your word will not be hard. I pray that on this particular podium and this altar, Your word; the Digging Deep of tonight will bring total transformation, we will connect our hearts to You, thank You because it is done, Lord at the end of the day, You will save souls, deliver the oppressed and will stir the heart of people to follow You and You will get all the glory. When all is said and done, that eternal home You have gone to prepare for Your saint, none of us will miss it, thank You eternal Father, in Jesus’ mighty name we pray.

THE MESSAGE
TEXT- LUKE 7:36-50
36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

The story is loaded; Jesus was coming to a town and there was a woman in the city, she was not invited but she finds her way to where Jesus want to visit, she sat somewhere within the crowd, waiting for the opportunity to do something meaningful and the opportunity opened, she rushed in to do the needful.

There is no story that cannot be changed if you are willing to act; inaction makes you stagnant and irrelevant, there's so much to say about the text. What you are doing now; what you do everyday is an act of writing your story and legacy. Everything you do in the secret and on the open is an act of writing your story.

Jesus lived for about 33 years, He had 36 months to minister in His lifetime ministry. According to Bible scholars there were 52 events scattered across his lifetime and ministry. What Matthew, Mark, Luke and John packaged as the gospel was an event that happened in 52 scattered days in the life of Jesus Christ.

John 21:25, And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

Out of many things that happened in the life of Jesus; the miracles, signs, wonders, death and resurrection, Matthew, Luke and John recorded the act of the woman. They used their glasses to recall what she did because her action has something to do with life. The same story is found in Matthew 26:7,There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

Mark 14:3, And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

Luke 7:37, And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

John 12:5, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
The four gospels recorded one act.

An act in your life can bring a turnaround. The woman gave something precious to Jesus to obtain something permanent in her life, she was far away from righteousness; a sinner but her action gave her a place in the sight of God.

Why is it that those who are close to salvation, blessing and healing never receive their portion? Maybe they have an unclear attitude or are too familiar to the atmosphere of blessing.

Jesus was among the 12, a woman came by the side and touched His cloth but others are too familiar to receive special blessing. Many people are too familiar with their pastors and never get their blessings.

Why is it that those who are close to the door of breakthrough never enjoy it? May be because they carry self righteousness on their head; Pharisee (far to see) and Sadducee (sad to see).

One action of the woman took her from the realm of the unrighteous to righteous, she broke loose to receive salvation and she used her action to write her legacy, she left her mark in the sand of history.

Some are close to deliverance but die in bondage, may that not be your portion.
If you refuse to make your action count you will be unctioned out, learn to make your mark in history.

EXAMPLES OF THOSE THAT DO SOMETHING WITH THEIR ACTION.
i.DORCAS.
Acts 9:36, when she died, people told Peter to wake her. Even in death, people desired life for her. There are people who are alive today that people wished were dead because they contribute nothing to their immediate surroundings.
ii.JABEZ.
Jabez was born in sorrow, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, he prayed and he became more honourable.
iii. DAVID.
1 Samuel 17:33-58. He came to the battlefield and ended the cry of the Israelite, he made an impact in his generation.
iv.SOLOMON.
1 Kings 4:29-34, And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. He made an impact in his time.
They all move from ambiguity to limelight, obscurity to superiority, disgrace to great grace and grace to greatness.

SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF WRITING LEGACY WITH YOUR ACTION.
1.YOU NEED TO REPOSITION YOURSELF.
Go to the environment where value could be added to your life, the woman was in the right environment and had an understanding of what God could do, the saving grace of Jesus, Jesus being the solution to multidimensional problems of our time and the word from the beginning.

She was like the children of Issachar in
1 Chronicles 12:32, And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

Mark 10:46-52, Bartimaeu was incapacitated but was rightly positioned, as Jesus was entering he could’t see but his spiritual antenna was very sensitive to what was happening around him.

Are you hearing what we are hearing?
Are you hearing the loaded prophecies that God is sending to His children through His prophet our leader?
Are you hearing the message God is passing across to us in this generation?
To be rightly positioned is to stay at the right place at the right time. Your position will determine your possession in life; position yourself rightly in the ministry, business, profession and all area. Right positioning will write your name in the book of life.

HOW DO I REPOSITION MYSELF FOR A LEGACY?
i. OBEY EVERY WORD OF GOD.
Isaiah 40:8, The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
ii Draw near to God with a true heart. Hebrews 10:22, move closer to God, make up your heart that you are going to draw closer to God. Closeness to God is profitable.
iii You must have hunger and thirst for God. Isaiah 44:3.
iv.You must have holy determination; a person with determination is full of grace and is not ready to say no.
Job 14:14, Job was determined never to give up; don't leave where God has positioned you.
You don't need to wait until you get to the next level, you can function now.
v.You must have faith in God, Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

David cried aloud in Psalm 27:1, The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2.OFFER SOMETHING.
If you have nothing to offer, you should be treated as an unprofitable being. You will discover that thing you need to offer and you will offer your generation. You are not a question, you are an answer, you came here to solve problems for this generation. Service is carrying out a duty; being useful for a task. God gave everybody a special gift that can be referred to as a talent.

YOU NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING
i.Give yourself fully to the service; do the service with joy. Romans 12:7, we have many bodies.
ii.Count it all joy when you are being persecuted or treated unjustly. James 1:2-3.
iii. Don't give up your service, keep working till the end, you are doing it unto God. People may not recognise what you are doing. David was persecuted when he killed Goliath but God made him king to reward him. God is looking, the “thank you” of God is better.
Luke 6:62, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Don't give up on your service.
iv. Don't use your talents as a weapon against the kingdom of God; your knowledge is given to you by God, offer your service to Him with all your heart.
v.You need to appreciate God; give Him glory for giving you great talents.

Do your service without complaining or grudging, Philippians 2:14.
Isaiah 43:18, Remember ye not the old things. The woman broke loose from her past, break loose from your past, don't remind God what He has forgotten, you can advance in adversity, you can break loose from your past, God is not in the past He is always I’m. God is not I was.

Micah 7:19, tell us our sins are cast into the depths of the sea. Hey are forgotten, don't remind God.

4. GET OUT OF SELF DECEIT AND HYPOCRITICAL LIFESTYLE.
The Pharisee and Sadducees are hypocritical in their conducts, they are sinners but they move to the temple in self righteousness. Matthew 23:13, Jesus was accusing them.
God will not speak against you in the name of Jesus.
Galatians 6:7, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, he shall reap.
I thank the Lord for our father in the Lord and how he talks to us, title is different from service.
In Job 15:34, For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.
Open up, stop deceiving people; when you are deceiving people you are deceiving yourself.

THE STORY OF A MAN AND HIS WIFE.
A man and his wife were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, they have five children and the last born was asked to do the toast. After the toast, the husband moved close to the wife and said there's something i want to tell you and i think today is the day and the wife said the day is too sweet to bring anything in, the husband said the James that is with grandma in the village is my son, i had him when i was in secondary school and the wife said Janet is your child while the remaining four belongs to my concubine. Ask your spouse, who are you?

5.GO FOR SOLUTION
The woman didn't beat around the bush; don't allow anything to stop you. Jesus remains the solution to the problem of the world, Go for Him, get born again. If you are born again, work right, if you are working right, increase the tempo of your service.
She knew only Jesus could solve the problem and went straight to Jesus and she became a saint.

6.YOU DON'T NEED THE PERMISSION OF THE CRITICS TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE.
Life's too short to cloud it with unnecessary things, if you listen to people you will be delayed in life. Don't be too reactive about what people are saying about you. God has not given you my direction, you need to shut your ears to criticism.

7.LOVE WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU THE BEST.
John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
There is a need to practice love,
1 Corinthians 13:1-8, you may prophesy and have gifts, but do you love others? Start from your home.
Man, tell your wife I love you.

YOU NEED TO RESPOND TO THE LOVE OF GOD.
If you are a believer, write your legacy with your action.
If you are not born again, respond to the love of God, Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 John 3:1-3, Behold, what manner of love.
Jeremiah 31:3, I have loved thee with an everlasting love.

LET’S PRAY.
Wherever you are, bow your head and ask the Lord, the God of heaven that you want to be born again.
If you are born again, tell the Lord, help me to write my story with my acts.
Thank You Father.
Lord, thank You for the people that have given their lives, I stretch forth my hands towards them from this podium, I ask that You who can save will save them today.
Wash them with the power of Your blood in the name of Jesus.
Give the power of service to everyone that is determined to do the will of God.
May you write your story with your action in the name of Jesus.
God who blesses will bless your life in and out.
You will make it on earth and we will make it together to heaven.
Thank You eternal Father.
We bless and praise Your name.
Keep us safe.
Let Your name be glorified.
When You come for Your saint, let us be there together.
In Jesus' mighty name we have prayed.
AMEN!

God bless you!
