*THE MESSAGE*
*TEXT - Genesis 1:1-3*
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
For as many people that will pray tonight and open their hearts to God, the light of God will shine for you. There will be light in your lives, homes, ministries and businesses. Everything around you will command the light of God in the name of Jesus. Tell somebody ‘God is talking to me’; there will be light in my life. The same God is still speaking right now; let there be light.
Let there be light means let there be joy, there will be joy in your home in Jesus’ name.
*BARENESS AS A SOURCE OF SORROW*
The story of Hannah.1Samuel 1:8-10
The agonising prayer of Hannah was - let there be light; let me know joy, carry joy and experience joy, i have been celebrating with others, let it be my turn to celebrate, put an and to this sorrowful situation and agony in my heart, let there be joy for me.
1 Samuel 2:1 After the Lord has honoured her prayer and after the light of God has shone for her, she said in verse 1 of chapter 2, And Hannah prayed and said my heart rejoiceth in the Lord mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because i rejoice in thy salvation.
The moment the light of God shone for her; her story changed and she became a mother, her cause was enlarged and her mouth could sing for joy.
+There's somebody under the sound of my voice tonight that will begin to know joy and sing for joy in the might name of the Lord Jesus.
In Luke 1:25, after God had visited Elizabeth, she said God has removed my reproach.
+As many that are having reproaches particularly, reproach of child bearing, God of heavens who attended to Hannah will attend to you tonight in Jesus’ name.
Let there be light means let there be joy.
Matthew 15 :22-28 - The story of a woman whose daughter was oppressed by demons, all she was saying to Jesus was - let there be light so that demon can leave her daughter alone.
+The light of God will shine for as many that are having challenges concerning their children.
+Let there be light and freedom concerning those situations in the lives of your children.
*FAILURE AS A SOURCE OF SORROW*
Luke 5:1-7, Peter worked very hard; he fished all night and caught nothing, he experienced repeated failure. Jesus - the Light of the world, stepped into the situation and he caught a lot of fish that his boat began to sink.
+The light of God will shine for you tonight and failure will end in your life.
+You will have joy in place of sorrow.
*LONELINESS AS A SOURCE OF SORROW*
Acts 3:1-9, the lame man sat at the entrance of the temple everyday, watching others going into the temple to worship God; watching others praising God but he was on the same spot, he can't join them because he was lame. One day, Peter came as the representative of Light, grabbed the man and the light of God flooded his life and the sorrow of many years suddenly turned to joy.
Acts chapter 3 verses 7 and 8
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
When the light shone for him, his stagnancy came to an end.
+The Lord will cause His light to shine for as many that are stagnant; you will begin to make progress.
+You will begin to walk with your equals as the light will shine for you; you will enter the realm of glory tonight.
Jesus is the best friend you can have, when Jesus is with you, He will solve the problem of loneliness.
John 5:1-9 The man at the Pool of Bethesda has lost hope but his hope was restored.
Jeremiah 32:27 Nothing is too hard for God
+Because you are here tonight, the light of God will shine for you and the loneliness in your life will be terminated.
+God will remember you, you will be celebrated and the wedding bell will ring for you.
*SICKNESS AS A SOURCE OF SORROW*
Luke 8:43-43 The woman with the issues of blood spent all that she had but when the light of God shone upon her, her problem was removed.
+Everything that has been draining your resources will come to an end tonight in the name of Jesus.
*POVERTY AS A SOURCE OF SORROW*
Poverty - eating from hands to mouth, eating and wearing the available not the desirable, the One who intervene in the affairs of Jabez will do it for you.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10 Jabez called on the name of the Lord; his first request was “God, bless me indeed” If you are tired of poverty and you will call on the God of heavens, your story will change and abundance of heaven will be your portion.
*WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR THIS LIGHT TO SHINE FOR ME AND EXPERIENCE JOY?*
1.Be ready to pour out your heart to God in prayer like Hannah.
2.Refuse to take “NO” for an answer, tonight must be your night. Genesis 32:26
Shout “Let there be light”
“Let me begin to know joy”
3.Be obedient. Genesis 32:26
4 Be specific with your request.
* Jabez was so specific concerning his request: he said, bless me indeed, enlarge my coast, let thine hand be with me, keep me from evil and the bible recorded that God granted all his requests.
*Hannah was not just asking for any child, she was specific concerning her request, she said: give me a man child.
*Bartimaeus was specific about what he wanted when Jesus asked for what he wanted, he said that I might receive my sight.
+It is your turn to know joy.
*LET’S PRAY*
Father, send Your light into my life; let darkness give way, let me begin to experience joy. Light of God, shine upon me, i want joy.
Mention whatever is causing you sorrow and ask for light.
Everlasting Father, the God of all flesh; with whom nothing shall be impossible, we have cried tonight, let there be light, let every work of darkness in our lives come to an end, let there be joy in the name of Jesus.
Thank You blessed Redeemer, we love and appreciate You.
In Jesus' name we have prayed.
AMEN!
*God bless you!*
