DAY 3 - PLENARY SESSION 6
TOPIC: LEADING SELF TO LEAD OTHERS
TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 9:24-25

Let somebody shout Hallelujah, wave your hands to the God of the universe, the Lover of our souls, the Keeper of our lives, bless the One who has preserved you till this moment, the One who sent you to the world for a purpose and ensure that the purposes shall be fulfilled in your lives, bless His Holy name, let Him hear your voice, exalt Him and honour Him, your day is here, something new is about to happen to you. Bless Him for the opportunity to listen to the word of life, King of glory, lover of our souls, the same yesterday, today and forever, we appreciate You.

Thank You Father, blessed be your name Oh Lord, we appreciate you and honour you. Glorious Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Lover of our soul, Ancient of days, the Wonderful, the Counselor, the one that sit upon the universe, the One who speaks and it's done, thank you for this year convention of your youth, thank You for what You have done thus far, thank You for the facilitators, for our fathers and mothers in the Lord, accept our thanks and praise in Jesus name.
We have every reason to appreciate you, we bless your name, body, soul and spirit you have kept us, we know we shall breakforth in power and glory in Jesus name. Let your words reach us, bring restoration and new beginning, let your name be glorified, thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Let the living shout Hallelujah.
You have no reason to be unserious at your age, there’s no limit to what you can become, if you can’t lead yourself you will frustrate the plans of God for your life.
You greatest enemy is you. Runners take a year to prepare for a race the takes few seconds, they deny several things to win. They control/deny themselves for award that will pass away.
Leading self is another word for self mastery and self leadership. If you don’t take instruction from God and people you lack self leadership, it’s much easier to lead others than to lead self. It takes a lifetime to lead yourself.
If you can’t lead yourself, others won't take you serious and won’t follow you because they can see that you have not led yourself. If you can’t lead yourself you can’t lead others. If you can't lead yourself you can't be trusted and you can't earn the respect of others.
If you can't lead yourself, little power will corrupt you. If you don't know how to handle power it will kill you. If you can't lead yourself opportunities will be the burial ground for your destiny.
If you have not lead yourself, you will be crawling. God can’t follow you to battle if you haven’t led yourself. If you can’t lead yourself, you can't go far in life
SAMSON
Judges 13:2-5, 24-25 Blessings are not enough, Samson was born anointed and exceptionally powerful yet he failed because he loved strange women. It’s the foolishness of the highest order to be losing money watching footballer playing football to make money.
Every chain that has bound you be broken in Jesus name.
SAUL
Sail failed because he became bigger than God, success is more difficult to manage than failure, don’t allow success to get to your head, river will dry off the day it forgets its origin. When you are jealous about other people's achievement you are walking in the path of Saul. Anytime you pinned anyone down you are also down. Saul died among his enemies like Samson
DAVID
God gave David victory to possess land He gave to isrealite 2 Samuel 11 :1 You can't delegate prayer, failure begins when you delegate what is important to you. If you delegate victory you have prepared for defeat. Proverbs 6:9-11 He delegate victory and fell into immorality. When God turns against You, everything will work against you.
ABSALOM
2 Samuel 15:1-6 He raised himself like a king when he is not, he died a gruesome death, If you think you are smart your smartness will hang you. You are not rising because there is a spirit of rebellion in you.
Support the anointed if you put your hands against him the hands of God will be against you forever.
SOLOMON
1 Chronicles 28:9 Everything was working for Solomon when he was with God. God will give you a test on tithe and offering when you secure a job, if you don’t serve God the true spirit you will serve mammon. Ecclesiastes 2:8-11. Ecclesiates 11:9 Your problem is not money but how to lead yourself when you have money. You will receive a gift every day. When money comes, make sure you lead yourself.
If you can't lead yourself foolishness have replaced your wisdom.
WHAT MUST I DO TO LEAD MYSELF
1. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourself
2. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Apply self control- will this decision add value to my life? Am i another Samson?
3. 2 Corinthians 3:18 Spend time meditating on the word of God. What is outside is the manifestation of what's inside, your appearance matters.
4.James 1:22-25 Look at the word of God and correct yourself. You can’t correct the mirror, the mirror must correct you.
Wave your hands to the living God and bless His name
Lord i thank You that you love me so much.
Revelation 2 :2-5 If you are tired of pretence and want Jesus come out now.
PRAYER
*Heavenly Father, deposit the ability to lead myself in me today.
*Heavenly Father, remove every compromise, evil habits , sin , … from my life.
*Destroy the old man in me.
*Father, let Your love that kept me this far lead me on.
*My Father and my God I want to thank you for the privilege to hear the word tonight, take over the lives of your sons and daughters that have responded to you. They will serve you and become giant.
*Precious Father, transform lives that will listen to this word and perfect transformation that has started. None of us will be found wanting in heaven.
