Wonderful and ever living God, we are grateful to You for what You are doing in our time; thank You for this season, all things work together for good for those who He loves and called according to His purpose. We thank You because You have called us according to Your purpose, we say thank You, to You be glory and honour. Thank You for the healing work that You have done during this season, we exalt Your name for all the people that You have touched, we bless Your name for lives You have transformed, we say thank You, receive thanks and praise in the name of Jesus. Father in heaven, we are here again around the table of Digging Deep, the One who is the wisdom, knowledge and the word from the beginning will teach us today in the name of Jesus. He sent His word, it healeth them and delivered them from all their destruction, we pray that Your word will remove affliction, destruction and every infirmity in our lives in the name of Jesus. Everyone that needs a connection, intervention and encounter with the word for miracle will encounter You during this Digging Deep. Heal the sick in the name of Jesus, comfort the sorrowful and bring to pass all the prayer requests of Your people across the globe. As i'm standing here, i commit my heart, head and mouth to You, i will not commit violence around Your word. Equip me to speak by the Holy Spirit. Father Almighty, our lives are in Your hands, when we finish our race, none of us will miss the kingdom of the righteous, thank You eternal Father, Holy Spirit we celebrate You, just take over from the beginning to the end and take all the glory, in Jesus’ mighty name we have prayed.

THE MESSAGE
MATTHEW CHAPTER 5 VERSE 13
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.- NKJV

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. NIV

The challenge of the present generation is to achieve relevance in the fast moving growing world. The world is dynamic and things are moving at the rate that makes people fall behind easily. Except you change and shift, you can't do anything meaningful in life.

RELEVANCE means to be current.
To be significant to a group or a given assignment
The degree at which something is useful to what is happening.
REPOSITIONING is taking a different position, to change a shift.
To refuse to change is to become irrelevant.

TWO FOUNDATIONAL AREAS OF CHANGE.
1.A shift in our mindset.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he
Your thoughts will make you and produce a good life for you.
The state of your thought determines the state of your life.
Your thinking pattern will determine your future pattern.
Life is defined by what’s in your heart.

2. A shift in methodology.
Doing things the same way and expecting different results is insanity.

FIVE THINGS FROM MATTHEW CHAPTER 5 VERSE 13
1.As the salt of the earth, we are relevant to God’s kingdom agenda.
2. It's possible to lose our relevance.
3.There's danger in losing relevance.
4.It is our responsibility to remain relevant.
5. Our relevance brings glory to God.

HOW TO ACHIEVE KINGDOM RELEVANT DEMANDS.
1. You need to stay focused on the kingdom mandate.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
The central message of the kingdom is focused on soul winning, discipleship, sanctification and separation for heaven.

2.Have a vision for relevance.
Everything we are enjoying today is a result of vision.
No man can achieve great success without a clear vision.
Vision is your compass, your vision is a driving force.
Vision is a propeller of achievement, it motivates you and helps you to plan and communicate.
Proverbs 29:18 where there's no vision, the people perish.
Vision is seeing the invisible and making it visible.
Everything you can see presently happened twice; they happened spiritually and physically.
It's God’s giving idea. A clear picture for a better life. If you don't have a clear vision for a better life, you don't have a future. You can't be part of the future you can't picture. It's the discovery of your purpose and the blueprint of God for your life.

THESE SIX THINGS ARE NOT VISION.
1. AMBITION is not vision, it is what you want to do which may not be what God wants you to become.
2. DECISION is what you have chosen to do and it may not be what God wants you to do.
3. IMITATION is an attempt to be someone else. Imitation is a limitation; attempting to be like someone else is photocopy.
4. COMPETITION is an attempt to catch up with somebody and probably outdo the person.
5. REACTION is born out of circumstances.
6.COERCION is born out of pressure.

VISION is the discovery of God’s plan for your life.
Elisha saw himself doing what Elijah was doing and he got it.
When Noah had a vision, he could resist the flood but when he lost it alcohol conquered him.
When Samson had a vision he delivered Israel, when he lost it on the lap of Delilah, his eyes were removed.
When Saul had vision, he conquered the kingdom and prophesied among the prophet but when he lost it, he consulted the witch of Endor.
When David had a vision, he conquered in battles but he didn't conquer his lust and became a murderer.
When Solomon had a vision, he was operating in wisdom, but his eyes for beautiful ladies ruined him.
When Elijah had a vision on mount Carmel he called down fire but when he lost it, he ran from a witch.
When king Ussah had the vision, he was following after God but when he lost it, his greatness and wealth was ruined.
When Peter had a vision, he was ready to die for Christ but when he lost it, he denied Christ three times.
When Demas had a vision he was fervent and effective but when he lost it he went back to the world.
You will not lose your vision in the name of Jesus.
Vision gives a sense of purpose.

3.Consistence self development.
Ecclesiates 10:10 If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
You need to keep sharpening yourself to remain relevant.
You need to develop yourself physically, spiritually and mentally.

(a) SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT.
Develop daily priority of daily devotion; regular fasting, intake of scriptures, regular retreat, evangelism and prayer.
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
(b) PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT.
1 Samuel 16:7c for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
Nobody knows what is in your heart, you are judged by physical appearance.
Make it a point to look your best; stay in shape, your body and mind must work together.
You don't have a second chance to make the first appearance.

(c) MENTAL DEVELOPMENT.
Technology is changing rapidly, don't remain the same in this post covid-19 era.
Commit yourself to learning.
Self development makes it possible to achieve desired results, it determines how much you can do with the little.

4. Be knowledgeable
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
You must commit your life to learning; attend seminars and conferences.
Ignorance is synonyms to darkness; for light to shine, ignorance must be dealt with.

MAJOR FIVE AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE YOU NEED TO HAVE.
i.The knowledge of yourself. Genesis 1:26-28
ii.The knowledge of God.
Daniel 11:32 they that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
iii.The knowledge of your enemy.
Colossian 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
iv.The knowledge of the organisation you belong to.
v.The knowledge of your environment.

5.Put your priorities in perspectives; keep first thing first.
Matthew 6:32-33
1.Personal relationship with God is the number one priority.
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
2.Your family.
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
3.Priority in your God’s giving assignments.

THREE ‘“As” OF RELEVANCE.
i.Attitude
Your attitude Phillipians 2:5 Let this mind be in you.
Mind that tolerate people.
Exhibit a positive attitude.

ii. Anointing
Anointing breaks the yoke, it's the indispensable tool for divine assignment.
You can't go far without the power of God. Isaiah 10:27
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things.
iii Association.
Choose your company, you can't survive in isolation.
Your attitude determines your altitude.

WHAT MAKES BELIEVER LOSE RELEVANCE
1.Ignorance of the environment. Ephesians 4:18
2.Deviation from core assignment. Colossians 2:8
3.1 Kings 13:18-21
4. Lack of focus. 1 Kings 20:40.
5. Pretence. Acts 8:18-29.
DANGERS OF LOSING RELEVANCE
1. You will be cast away.
2.You will become stepping ground for men.
3. You will lose your joy and live everyday complaining.
You must keep moving and going to remain relevant.

IF YOU ARE NOT BORN AGAIN, you haven't started but you can say God, i hang my head on You because you have a purpose.
Genesis 1:28 You are destined to be on the top.
If you want to give your life, bow your head and pray to God;
God, save me.
Forgive my sin.
If you are marking the time, tell the Lord enough of being in the middle, let me contact my relevance.

LET’S PRAY.
Father eternal, we thank You for people who are confessing their sins, I pray that You will forgive them and wash away their iniquities in the name of Jesus.
Write their names in the book of life.
From this day the power of sonship and daughtership will enter them.
They will serve You with vigour and vitality.
In life, they will fulfil destiny and purpose.
From this day, the power of God will trigger revival in those marking time.
They will stay relevant to the glory of the Lord.
When we finish our race on earth, may we make it to the kingdom of heaven.
Thank You eternal Father.
We bless and praise Your name.
Let those that need healing receive healing.
Receive open doors and breakthroughs.
Let the spirit of low self esteem depart from them.
Thank You for hearing.
